“ I love me some bbq. I've had outsider before but wanted to check out the brick and mortar. First of all the place looks fantastic, nice open air concept with ample seating and nice chill music. But I came for the food! I never go small at bbq because you can box up the leftovers, well that didn't happen this time. I got a little over 1/2lb brisket, 2 large ribs (1/2lb), 1 cheddar jalapeno sausage and of course the lemon poppy seed slaw and a beer. This ran about 84 after tipping which is a fair price for Seattle bbq, this is enough food for 2 people or one hungry me. Brisket was melt in your mouth delicious and the mustard sauce on the table gave it an extra kick! Ribs had a solid smoke flavor with a nice little pull and pepper finish. The sausage had the perfect grind to give it that soft chew with a nice snap on the skin! I will always get the slaw cuz it's a palette cleanser all the meats! So if you haven't been yet you best start heading there now they open at 11am! ”
“ We just checked this place out for the first time and were thrilled! The brisket hamburger and peach cobbler were delicious. My daughters loved the mac and cheese, and my wife enjoyed the cole slaw. Service was great; they are very attentive, and checked in with us while we were waiting for our carry out to make sure we were OK. Note that parking can be tricky, but it’s worth any walk and any wait you have to deal with. ”
“ The Best BBQ in Seattle Wa! Nice Atmosphere & Environment! Great Tasting Food! Marcus was Amazing!! Morgan had great service! The Owner Checked in to make sure everything was solid! Appreciate ya’ll! ”
“ Outsider BBQ is really great! Outside patio option for seating and indoor options, okay to bring your dog on patio. I ordered a half pound of ribs (2 ribs) 1 pound of brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage, kale salad and potato salad. With 2 fountain drinks the total was about 80 and two people easily shared this! The star of the show was the pork ribs and brisket. ”
“ BBQ Bliss with Backyard Vibes OUTSIDER BBQ & BEER GARDEN is hands-down one of the best BBQ experiences I’ve had in a long time. The moment you walk in, the aroma of slow-smoked meats hits you like a warm hug from a pitmaster—and it only gets better from there. Every dish we tried was a flavor bomb. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the ribs had the perfect bark, and the sides? *Next level*. Don’t even get me started on the mac & cheese and the tangy slaw. It’s clear the team knows their craft and takes real pride in their food. The vibe is super laid-back and welcoming. The beer garden makes it feel like a weekend backyard cookout—with better food and a killer tap list to match. Great spot whether you’re rolling deep with friends or just craving a solo plate of something smoked and beautiful. If you're a BBQ lover or just someone who appreciates damn good food, OUTSIDER is an absolute must. Can't wait to come back! ”
“ We recently visited Outsider BBQ in Seattle and were seriously impressed—especially by the brisket, which was hands-down the best we’ve had outside of Austin. Smoky, tender, and full of rich flavor, it’s worth the trip alone. The jalapeno cheddar sausage also stood out, packed with flavor without overwhelming heat, and the slaw was a perfect complement—crisp, fresh, and an absolute must-have. The outdoor space is another highlight—laid-back and welcoming, it’s an ideal spot to kick back on a sunny day with a cold drink and a plate of barbecue. As for areas of improvement: the pulled pork was just okay—on the dry side and lacking the depth of the other meats. The macaroni and cheese also fell flat, surprisingly bland and missing that gooey, cheesy punch we were hoping for. A rework could easily make it a standout side. We’re already looking forward to our next visit—the beef cheeks are calling, and we’re curious to see if any updates have been made to the mac and cheese. One thing’s for sure—we’ll definitely be back for more of that brisket and sausage. Final verdict: A strong contender in Seattle’s BBQ scene with standout meats and sunny vibes. Just a few tweaks away from being a must-stop spot. ”
“ Phenomenal barbecue. The owner has put some serious energy into perfecting this craft. The beef options are the best thing on the menu, but the pork is absolutely no slouch either. The brisket is perfectly moist with a beautiful bark and tons of flavor. The beef rib, which is regular special (but which runs out often, so you should arrive early if you want it), is even better, in my opinion. It's massive, though, so bring someone to share it with. The pulled pork and pork spare ribs are also really good, and if the beef wasn't so damn amazing, I would rave about the pork even more. All the meats are unbelievably juicy, so the sauce isn't necessary for moisture like it is at way too many BBQ joints. You only need a little sauce, just enough for the acidity to cut through and brighten up the rich, fatty meats. I also tried the smoked brisket burger. It's good and definitely unique, but the by-the-pound meats are much more worthy of your stomach space. Let's talk sides. Again, everything is spot-on, but my favorites are the lemon poppyseed slaw, the mac and cheese, and the corn casserole (in fact, I'd say the corn casserole is not optional). I also tried a few desserts. They were out of their smoked rice pudding (but I'll be back for it), so I only tried the banana pudding and the peach cobbler. The banana pudding has all kinds of textures to enjoy with a sweet, custard filling and lots of big chunks of banana. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The peach cobbler, on the other hand, was off. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch, but it had a bitter, chemical-y taste. My guess is that someone accidentally added too much baking soda to the cobbler. It might be better on another night. Overall, you can't go wrong with any of the meats or any of the sides, but if you're narrowing it down, grab some brisket, a beef rib, a corn cobbler, and your choice of dessert, and leave very, very full. ”
“ The BBQ is fantastic. Please stop comparing to Texas bbq...they don’t advertise it as Texas BBQ. Beef rib and pork ribs were insanely tender and cooked perfectly. Best slaw I’ve ever had. Owner is a super nice guy too. Everyone is working their ass off and professional. Only downside is it is a bit pricey so maybe save this for a splurge meal. ”
